The Farmer’s Market, located next to the Community House in down town Magee, was hopping! Two new vendors joined the regulars, Hello Darlin’ Creative Design and Billy Lofton. Elizabeth Magee designs cards, canvases, and paintings! She is one talented lady who lives right here in Simpson County. An award winning USM graduate, Elizabeth hosted a conference (Flourish) several weeks ago at Goodwater Baptist Church for young ladies. Elizabeth will continue her studies at Highland College Creative Practicum Ministry Program through Church of the Highlands. She will continue learning graphic design, motion graphics, and film and how to apply these mediums to ministry and non profits.
Billy Lofton had downtown Magee filled with the aroma of grilling! Billy is famous for his ribs and chicken. He and his family offered plate lunches for $10 and a slab or 1/2 rack of ribs plus chicken quarters.
Brother Buddy and Mrs. Jackie plus two of their grandchildren furnished fresh vegetables for the shoppers. Becky of Becky’s Baked Goods was back with several of her delicious baked items. I love her banana nut bread which was gone by the time I made my rounds! I settled for homemade cinnamon rolls.
The Sanders had duck and chicken eggs. Jimmy and Judy Lott had honey for sale. The Lotts give free samples. Liz of Coatcreek Farms had goat milk soak available plus the “baby” goat was back!
Bob had his delicious pulled pork sandwiches and additional meats for sale.
