Saturday, June 23rd, was another great day at the Farmer’s Market located in downtown Magee next to the Magee Community House.
The market continues to gain vendors. Billy Lofton and Bob Everett keep the crowd fed. Becky supplies everyone with homemade breads and cinnamon rolls, Two booths featured fresh grown vegetables which everyone is grabbing quickly! I am trying some of the goat milk soap made by Coat Creek Farms. (I’ll let ya’ll know what I think). Free taste of honey is provided by the Lotts. I am amazed at how many people come and purchase honey. Janice Brien was going bananas in honor of the MSU College World Series games. Janice was selling Bar-B-Q sauce, relish, banana bread and muffins. I think she had something else but I can’t remember! I can assure you, the Bar-B-Q sauce is divine.
The food is great at the market but so is the fellowship. The market will open each Saturday from 9-1 until July 26th. I “heard” the vendors are extending their hours each Saturday because of the crowds!
Plan to feed your family with homemade and homegrown items from the Farmer’s Market in Magee.
