Magee Angels 9-10 year old All-Stars win state at home!

The Angels had no problem against Perry County. The girls took the field for their appearance in the tournament Saturday morning against Perry County. Magee won by a score of 27-0 after three innings. Pitchers for Saturday morning game were Kylin Chisholm and Kimora Bouldin. Magee’s win gave Perry County two loses eliminating PC from the tournament.

Magee faced Mendenhall/Puckett for the Saturday evening game. Magee won the game by a score of 30-3 after three innings. Pitchers for the game were Kimora Bouldin, Lila Gordon, and CoCo Carter. Both teams were undefeated going into the game. Magee’s win gave Mendenhall their first loss.

Magee and Mendenhall faced off again  Sunday afternoon.  Mendenhall was in a must win situation to stay alive in tournament play.   Kylin Chisholm pitched all three innings for Magee in a shut out game. Mendenhall was unable to get on the scoreboard.  Magee won the game by a score of 10-0 after three innings of play. With the win, Magee won State and will advance to the World Series in Alexandria, Louisiana July 27- August 3rd.

The ladies received Sate Championship rings for the win.

Members of the team are:   Kimora Bouldin, CoCo Carter, Kylin Chisholm, Danni Cooper, Nala Duckworth, Mallory Duncan, Lila Gordon, Karlee Holbrook, Lillian Overby, Avery Vanderford, Jay Walker, and Talea Williams. Coaches are Melvin Emmons, Vic Jones, and Evan Gordon.
