Andy Raford Berry, 85 passed away from his earthly home January 20, 2021 at Magee General Hospital. He was 85 years old.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Strong River Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Roger Lee and Bro. Jason Wooley will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Born May 31,1935 to Buna and Willie R Berry, he was a 1956 graduate of Pinola High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married his sweetheart and love of his life on May 26, 1958. Together they had 4 kids. He was an avid supporter of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in all that they were involved in. He loved his family with all that he had. He was a member of Strong River Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a big supporter of his church and community.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Paul Berry, Buford Berry, and Billy Berry.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Vera Charlene Berry, 4 children; Gary Berry (Lesia), Tammie Hux, Ricky Berry, and Kenny Berry; three grandchildren, Shane Berry (Jana), David Berry (Whitney), and Paula McLain; nine great-grandchildren, Brenson Berry, Layla Berry, Steven Shane Berry, Tatum Berry, Patrick Hanna, Jennye Hathorn (Tanner), Graci Phillipson, Bradyn Phillipson, and Brelynd Phillipson; and one great-great granddaughter on the way; Kimbri Rae Hathorn; one sister, Hazel Welch (Vic) and one brother Kermit Berry(Linda Sue) along with a host of nieces and nephews.
