Mississippi College freshman goalkeeper Andrea McDonald has been named the NCCAA Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

McDonald (New Orleans, La.) and the MC defense have recorded three straight shutouts, not allowing a single goal since the 76th minute of a 2-2 tie against West Georgia on October 2nd, a span of 342 total minutes.

On the season, McDonald has tallied seven shutouts, tying her for second in school history for most blankings in a season. She made eight saves over the three shutouts and has posted a 0.63 goals against average, which would rank third in MC history.

McDonald also earned the NCCAA national honor back on September 23rd of this season.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action this weekend when they host Shorter (Friday) and Lee (Sunday) at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
