Ander “Andy” E. Owens, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home in Braxton, MS. He was born Thursday, March 09, 1944 in Duffy, MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 beginning at 5:00 PM and continuing until service time at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Braxton, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, MS. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
He was a deacon and greeter at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Braxton, MS.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lillie May Tice and Alex W. Owens; 4 brothers and 7 sisters; 1 son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Barbara Owens, 2 sons, Robert Hedgepeth (Tammy), Mickey Hedgepeth (Jodie); 2 daughters, Margie Byrd, and Sue Parish (David).
Pallbearers will be J.R. Hedgepeth, Daniel Rushing, Tito Cruz, Jack Strickrodt, David Smith, Ronnie Sowers; Honorary Pallbearers are JR. Brown, Carroll Greer, Perry Lee, James Gober, Bennie Barnard, Joel Thomas.
In leiu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to donate to Gum Springs Baptist Church Old Cemetery Fence Fund.
