Amie H Green ,Sr., 76, of Magee, MS passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at home in Magee. He was born Monday, March 31, 1941 in Booneville, MS.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Andy Delancey will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
Amie Green was a Godly, family man. He was a talented man, true friend to all. He was the best husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and friend that anyone could have and be proud of, but most of all Amie was a true servant of his Lord Jesus Christ. He was always trying to help everyone. He would give anyone the shirt off his own back. Amie was so full of life, always making people laugh and smile. Amie will be greatly missed by so many. As someone once said: To know him was to love him.
He is preceded in death by his First Wife, Bessie Ann Green; Parents, Elbert (Doc) Green and Ila (Hargett) Green; Brother, W.A. Green , Sisters, Juanita Scales and Joyce Marie Green.
Survivors include his Wife, Annette Green, Magee; Daughter, Tamelia Childree (David), Headland, Alabama; Sons, Keith Green , Magee, Amie Green , Jr. (Jennifer), Mendenhall, Ty Green (Ashley), Brandon, Kannon Green , Hattiesburg; Step-Son, Brian Cockrell, Magee; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; Sisters, Anita Wallace, Adra Luckey, Elanora Bishop; Brothers, Pascal Green, Johnny Green, and Byrnice Green; Special friends, Thomas Rymes, Lee Cockrell, and a host of other friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Shoemaker, Chase Courtney, Jody Garner, David Childree, Ron Mosley, Bill Bishop.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Kevin Drummond.
