Alta Maxine Williamson Clark, 79 of Mize, MS passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins, MS. She was born Thursday, May 10, 1945 to Mack and Oma Lee Williamson in Collins, MS.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at New Liberty Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 507 SCR 152 Mt. Olive, MS 39119. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:00pm at New Liberty Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in New Liberty Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Steve Clark and Bro. Daniel Perry will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was like a second mom to so many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Willard R. Clark; father, Mack Williamson; mother, Oma Lee Knight Williamson; brother, Graham Williamson; sisters, Mae Leggett, Wanda Bolton, Brenda Rowell, Nancy Beech, Rita Griffith.
She is survived by her sons, Scotty Clark of Mize, MS and Doug Clark (Missy) of Mize, MS; daughters, Dannell Clark of Mize, MS and Melonie Chain (Chuck) of Collins, MS; grandchildren, Heather Blackwell (Cody), Michael Clark (Crystal), BJ Blackwell (Haley), Charlie Chain (Kimberly), Brande Clark, Josh Clark (Bailey), Dillon Chain and Seth Clark (Mercedes); twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Butch Williamson and Chuck Williamson (Tesa); sisters, Polly Autry (Jimmy) and Amber Magee (Don); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be BJ Blackwell, Michael Clark, Josh Clark, Karry Tuggle, Cody Mann, and Adam Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brande Clark, Braelyn Clark, Kaige Higginbotham, and David Gunter.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Arrington Living Center and Legacy Hospice for the excellent care given.
