Alma Russell passed away on Friday, September 21, 2019, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Ms surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 31, 1941, to Clyde Earl Newman and Vernice (Champagne) Newman in Hammond, LA.
She was a homemaker that doted on her family and loved every minute of it.  She will be missed by all that knew her.
Alma is survived by her husband of 59 years, William M Russell, Jr.; two sons, William C Russell (Christina), Brian Russell; sister, Ruby Millette and five grandchildren, Jon, Kyle, Josh, Justin, and Andrew Russell.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 23, 2019, at Stonewall Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS with an hour of visitation before the beginning of service.  Interment will follow in Stonewall Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
