Long time Magee Policeman Allen Martin was named Interim Police Chief at the Tuesday, March 1, 2022, board of Aldermen Meeting following the resignation of former Chief Chris Jones. Martin has been with the Magee Police Department for 15 years and 14 years with Smith County.
Chief Martin will begin his duties Wednesday, March 3, 2022.
Brian Green was named Criminal Investigator, Ben Stephens Patrol Sergeant and IT person, Becky Freeman as Supervisor Dispatcher and Jailer, and Matt Gipson Patrol Sergeant.
