(Jackson, Mississippi) Attorney General Lynn Fitch today announced three new leaders in her criminal divisions, bringing nearly 70 years of combined experience in law enforcement and criminal prosecution at the local, state, and federal levels. Former U.S. Secret Service Resident Agent in Charge Shawn Wolfe joins the AGO as Director of the Cyber Crime Division. Captain Marcus Colley, former Director of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Training Division, joins the agency as the Deputy Director of Criminal Investigations. And former Assistant District Attorney Lindsay Cranford has been promoted to Director of the Public Integrity Division.
“I am excited to announce the hiring and promotion of three individuals with proven track records for seeking justice at the federal, state and local level,” said Attorney General Lynn Fitch. “By adding these experienced leaders to our criminal justice team, we are forging even stronger partnerships with law enforcement across the State and taking even greater strides to promote safety and security in our communities.”
Shawn Wolfe, Director of Cyber Crime
As Director of the Cyber Crime Division, Wolfe will oversee a wide range of investigations including the sexual exploitation of children online, major fraud, data theft, and cyber security. Wolfe comes to the Office of the Attorney General after retiring from a 23-year career with the United States Secret Service. During his tenure with the Secret Service, Wolfe developed particular experience working cases involving counterfeiting, access device fraud, bank fraud, wire fraud, and protective interest threats. As Resident Agent in Charge for the Secret Service Jackson Resident Office, Wolfe worked with General Fitch to establish Mississippi’s Cyber Fraud Task Force at the Attorney General’s Office.
Marcus Colley, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigations
A native of Moss Point, Mississippi, Captain Colley comes to the Office of the Attorney General with 26 years’ experience with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Colley has served in many roles including as a Trooper, Director of Basic Training assigned to the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy, Lieutenant of Troop K Enforcement, Lieutenant with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) Executive Protection Division, and most recently as Director of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Training Division. Colley will work with Patrick Munday, General Fitch’s Director of Criminal Investigations since February 2020, overseeing the investigative work of more than 60 sworn law enforcement officers at the Attorney General’s Office.
Lindsay Cranford, Director of Public Integrity
Cranford is an Assistant Attorney General and Director of Public Integrity, one of two prosecutorial divisions in the Attorney General’s Office. Since joining General Fitch’s team in March 2020, Cranford has prosecuted a wide variety of felonies, including public corruption, white-collar, and child exploitation crimes. During her 17-year law career, Lindsay has served in the capacity of both prosecutor and public defender, including as Assistant District Attorney in the Fifteenth Circuit Court District.
