The Magee Fire Department announced that arrangements have been made for donations to be deposited at any PriorityOne Bank in Mississippi for the Allan family.

Young Jacob Allan was killed Saturday when a dropped gun accidentally discharged. Jacob was in the 7th grade at Magee Middle School and the son of Philip and Jean Allan of Magee. Philip is a member of the Magee Volunteer Fire Department.

Checks should be made to the Magee Fire Department with a notation on the memo line “for Jacob Allan.” Donations may be mailed to the Magee Volunteer Department 301 Main Avenue North, Magee, MS 39111 or deposited at any PriorityOne Bank.

Money raised will be used for funeral expenses. If additional funds are raised, the money will be used to establish college funds for the other two siblings.

A candle light vigil will be held Tuesday night, December 22nd in front of the Magee Volunteer Fire Department building located at the north end of Main Street. The vigil will begin at 7 PM. Donations may be brought to the gathering Tuesday night. A “fire helmet” will be passed during the vigil. People planning to attend will need to bring a candle (and maybe a few extras for the ones who forget!)

The vigil is a way to show our love to this family during their time of sorrow and the holiday season. If additional information is needed, please contact MageeNews.com @ 601-849-3159

Praying for this family, and so thankful that a caring community of friends are there to support and love this family.
