PledgeOfAllegianceScraping…clawing…hitting…diving…you name it, this group of Trojan softball girls did it to win! The girls began the season with a coach issue. Sarah Jordon and Jimmy Zilla literally stepped up to the plate…and took these girls under their wing…working…pushing…encouraging. The girls didn’t win the “title”…but to me they won even more. What a lesson these girls learned in “keep on keeping on”…going the extra mile…appreciating others who were willing to help.

Magee High School has never been known as a softball powerhouse…but after this season…everyone knows Magee Softball.  KKNatalie2015

Following the win of the district championship, the girls began the next round of play against Poplarville…we lost the first game (best of 2 out of 3) and lost Wednesday night to Poplaraville 9-5. The season ended here on our own field where it all began…although the defeat was painful, the knowledge of achieving District Champs made this loss less painful.

But oh what a year! The team represented their school and community in a very positive way.

Thank you girls and coaches for pushing on! We love you!    SarahJordanJimmyMagee-trojans-2015NatlieKKSkarrit-2015
