A SPIRITUAL CHURCH
The word spiritual means to be alive in serving God. If we are spirit filled we let God be our pilot not our co-pilot. When we pray we reach the portals of Heaven. God wants us to be alive and well in serving Him.
Our reading today comes from 1Peter 2:9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness in to His marvelous light.
When Christ comes into our life we have been chosen. A hedge has been built around us. A holy nation is a nation that fully seeks the face of Jesus. We come to Jesus humbly he will bless us like never before. The things we do are God approved. The holy spirit gives us comfort. God changes our darkness in to His marvelous light. In darkness the blind leads the blind. We had no idea what to do or how to do anything.
After being spiritual we can lead people to a place called Calvary. We can tell people of the birth of Jesus, death of Jesus and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We serve God with all of our soul, body, mind and spirit. We get excited and tell people of Jesus the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
We must pray up, fast up, read up, and shut up. We can not live on past experiences in serving Jesus. Everyday should be a new experience in serving God. Everyday should be sweeter and sweeter in serving Jesus.
Jesus wants you right now the way you are. Come now for tomorrow may be too late. You have tried everything the world has to offer. Try Jesus and see what happens. Have a blessed and victorious week. Our job is finished when we get to heaven.
