*My friend Yancey Sanford’s dad died last night. He wrote this tribute to his dad…touched my heart.
After a long illness, my dad passed away just before 3pm today. Both his brothers, his only sister, Danielle and I were at his side as he passed. My dad was the rugged, independent kind of guy. This long illness that rendered him dependent for help was not an easy thing for him to accept. If you knew him, you understand that his passing was a blessing to him… if perhaps a late blessing — in his opinion.
Arrangements haven’t yet been made. I will post them when finalized.
A special thanks from me to everyone who helped him and encouraged him over the last couple of years.
