The Scriptural passage for today is found in Proverbs 11:17: “A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.” The writer of Proverbs was a man of obvious great wisdom. He knew the nature of man to be basically sinful; yet, a man of God has been changed; his nature becomes one of loving kindness and one to be revered. He prospers and helps others. A cruel man remains unchanged, is hot-headed, quick-tempered, and often his own worst enemy. Which are you? It might be time to do a self-assessment. Jesus is the answer. Turn to Him, and you’ll find yourself instantly and forever changed. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” Amen!
