The Scriptural passage for today is taken from Proverbs 15:4: “The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.” Amen! Our words can build up, affirm, or do serious damage, hurt, and abuse. If we’re admonished to be Christ-like, we must study the life of Christ through His Word and strive to be more and more like Him. We know a soft answer turns away wrath and anger; therefore, let us be very, very careful when we speak. Words have the power to crush or to express love. Once spoken, we can never call them back. The choice is ours. Amen!
