George Young, who many of us knew as “Wheelchair George,” had a profound impact on Magee and its citizens. George was a loyal Trojan fan…he was a loyal Magee fan…baseball or softball. He loved seeing kids play ball. He loved the wagon train…the trail ride!
George kept many of us supplied in boiled peanuts! I do believe his were the best.
I saw George a few weeks ago. I could tell he was not feeling well but no complaint from George.
George died today, August 21, 2021. He will be missed. George made a difference in life.
