Blanche Geneva Roberts Jones, 82, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at her home. She was born Wednesday, November 9, 1938, in Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, in Mize, Mississippi. Bro. Kent Grice will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mrs. Jones was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Taylorsville, Mississippi. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved spending time working with her flowers, watching the birds outdoors, sewing, and most of all spending time with her husband. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Duncan C. Roberts and Blanche Sellers Roberts; and two brothers, D.C. ‘Charles” Roberts and Howard Grantham.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-two years, Herbert Haskel Jones of Taylorsville; four children, Donna Kay Blakeney and her husband, Lanny; Robert Haskel Jones, Pattie Ann Jones Cromwell and her husband, Robert; Laura Sue Jones-Miller and her husband, Douglas all of Taylorsville; five grandchildren, Samaria Blakeney of Taylorsville, Marianna Blakeney of Taylorsville, Stephanie Cromwell Wardell and her husband, Kolton, of Laurel, Benjamin Cromwell and his wife, Jesseka, of Buckhannon, WV, and Raeden Miller and his wife, Kimberly, of Taylorsville; four great-grandchildren, Preslee Wardell, Lealeh Wardell, Gabriella Blakeney, and Brianna Taylor; one sister, Inez McIntosh of Mount Olive; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Raeden Miller, Benjamin Cromwell, Kolton Wardell, Mark Jones, Stanley Jones, and Jacob Jones.
