Magee Chamber of Commerce 67th Banquet was held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church.
The table decor and flower arrangements were astonishing throughout the venue. A lot of hard work from the business and citizens were displayed in the beautiful tabletops. The Chamber did a phenomenal job on planning and hosting the event.
The winning tablescape was the Magee Co-op. 2nd place was Main Street Realty and 3rd place Mississippi Hippie.



Simpson County Student Keely Kate McKenney sang the National Anthem and did an outstanding job.
Magee’s Miss Hospitality Hattie Grace Ashmore and Simpson County DYW Raleah Hanna greeted guest.
Miss Ashmore assisted with all awards and presentations on stage.
Everyone enjoyed the music provided by Vintage 601 during the buffet style meal.
Simpson County Academy and Magee High School STAR Students and Teachers were honored. Marissa Davis represented Simpson County Academy with a score of 31 on her ACT. Marissa chose Michelle Crace as her Start Teacher.
Matthew Ehrgott represented Magee High School as the STAR Student. Ehrgott scored a 28 on his ACT. Ehrgott selected Jeffery Sanford as his STAR Teacher.
The following citizens received the Hall of Fame Awards.

The late Joe Barnes and Peggy Prince were inducted into the 2022-2023 Hall of Fame. Their families accepted the award in their memory.
Patrice Ford Boykin received the Outstanding Citizens Award.
Leman Cockrell was chosen as the Spirit of Magee.
The Business of Year was presented to Hands Nursery.
Before ending the night, Chamber President Nancy Brown passed the gavel to new incoming President Tiffany Kinslow.
The evening was adjourned with Vintage 601 playing “God Bless America”.
