On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the for Citizens with Disabilities and the Museum of Natural Science will go just a little wild at the Coalition’s 5th Annual Born to Be Wild ~ Family and Friends Picnic. It’s going to be a fun filled day. $12 gets you admission to the Museum, customized activities, and lunch from Chimneyville Smokehouse.
Everyone is welcome. Guests will register, mingle and eat under the pavilion at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.
Activities include archery, can-fishing, creature-feature, and more.
Tickets, as well as sponsorships for the event, can be purchased on line by going to
www.tinyurl.com/wildpicnic19
“This event is one of the happiest days of our year. The Museum staff does an incredible job of making our day special with the great activities and wonderful volulnteers; Chimneyville sets up a delicious picnic lunch; and family and friends, old and new, are the center of this fun, inclusive, accessible outing,” said Pam Dollar, executive director of the Coalition.
The Coalition, founded in 1989, is a nonprofit state-wide cross-disability organization comprised of people with disabilities, family members, professionals and advocates. The Coalition works collaboratively to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life for all Mississippians with disabilities.
