Simpson County Sheriff Donald O’Cain is asking for the public’s help in locating this suspect. On April 20, 2018, at approximately 1400 hours, the Simpson County Sheriff office received a call from 172 W S White Road, Mt. Olive, that someone had kicked in the the front door of the residence. Shortly after the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived on scene, the residence owner stated to the Deputies that he heard a noise in the front of the residence, the owner walked into the living room and saw a black male, wearing grey sweatpants, approximately 200 pounds and in his early 20’s. The residence owner was able to retrieve a firearm and fired two shots at the intruder. The suspect took off running and jumped into a gold Nissan Maxima. The suspect drove in the direction toward New Hope Road.
