MSDH is reporting an additional 3,255 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 48 deaths.

All deaths occurred between December 18 and January 6. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 231,490, with 5,061 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 89 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 12 deaths. There are currently 223 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
The MSDH website is down right now, but we’ll have have updated charts and other case details online when the website returns to service.
