Sunday update:Update on Amarylious McAlpin “Meme”. Praise the Lord she was taken off the vent this morning!! She is doing good and should be moved to a regular room tomorrow! How awesome is that?! Thank you again for the prayers and concern for us. She will still need prayers but we are on the right track to getting her well !

Posting from Saturday:Update on Amarylious McAlpin “Meme”. We are so thankful for all the prayers and everyone checking on us. Meme is still in ICU but is improving and making bigger steps toward getting better. We give all praise to our Lord for that!! They attempted to take her off the vent today, but were not successful. However, they have been preparing her today so hopefully they can remove it tomorrow. That’s our immediate goal! Her vitals are holding steady and she was more alert this afternoon. Please continue to pray for her and the medical team. Love to all !

Below is a posting from her sister Charlotte Luckey.

Please pray!

“For our friends and family I wanted to give an update on Amarylious McAlpin aka “Meme”. Meme is in ICU at Baptist and has been since Sunday evening. At this point she is very sick with several issues going on. She has pneumonia and is septic. She is currently on a ventilator and a broad spectrum of antibiotics. Up until this afternoon, she was alert and writing out on a notepad what she wanted or needed. However, she has taken a few steps back and she is currently sedated so that the vent can help her get more oxygen in her lungs. We know that the Lord hears all of our prayers and we are so thankful for each and every one of them. Please continue to lift her up. We appreciate every text, phone call or message that we receive. We thought that maybe one of the fastest and easiest ways to let everyone know about Meme was to post on FB. She is a fighter and we hope each day she will improve. We love y’all and thank everyone for loving on us.”
