Special prayers for the family of Mrs. Ival Murphy a former Mayor of Mt Olive who died Saturday. (She is also Mrs. Edith Polk’s sister). Ival was known as an encourager…a true Southern woman…and a person who supported businesses and the school in Mt Olive.

Mrs. June Berry passed Sunday morning. Mrs. June is a sister to Bobbie Pasco. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stephens. Arrangements for Mrs. June were not yet available.
Prayers for all our people serving in the military…serving in our cities in fire departments, police departments, highway patrol…I don’t know…but I’ve just had these “servants” on my mind. More and more I realize how unselfish these people are.
I hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend. My oldest son Dickey and his wife Lynda long with Hudson are visiting my grandsons in Florida. I know I am being selfish…but please pray for my family. My heart breaks over the situation the children are put in…I don’t know why some people will not put children first…hold a grudge forever and try to punish a parent through a child…beyond my comprehension. Ok, didn’t mean to say so much…but this stuff tears me up!
