The Simpson County Board of Supervisors met on April 15, 2026, with President Wayne Womack calling the meeting to order. The county attorney, Danny Welch, opened the meeting with prayer, followed by the National Anthem.

Chancery Clerk Tim Gray presented several items for the Board’s consideration. The Board acknowledged and recorded the certificate of completion for Justice Court Judge Charles Savell, who attended the Justice Court Judges Spring 2026 Conference held March 25–27 in Choctaw, Mississippi.

Gray also reported on the servicing of the 2026 Homestead Charge Backs. Notices were mailed to landowners via U.S. Mail on March 5, 2026. One response was received regarding property located at 487 Simpson Highway 545 in Magee, which will be reinstated.
