Grace Parham passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her residence. She was born on January 27, 1932, in Grenada, MS.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Magee. She retired from Magee General Hospital as a registered nurse after a long career. She loved her job and formed many lifelong friendships during her years at the hospital.
Grace loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. The best part of her life was deer hunting with her boys and husband. She enjoyed cooking for her family and others. She was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Bill Parham; parents, Earnest Edwin VanHoozer and Eva Christina Harville; and one brother, George VanHoozer.
Grace is survived by her children, Lynda Shivers of Hattiesburg, MS, Wade Parham (Barbie) of Petal, MS, Randy Parham (Julie) of Davey, Nebraska, Steve Parham (Carol) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Scotty Parham (Jennifer) of Brandon, MS ,nine grandchildren, Shannon, Amanda, Clay, Wesley, Trent, Zach, Matt, Madison, Remington and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Tutor Chapel with Rev. Buddy Keyes officiating. A private interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or First Baptist Church of Magee.
