Magee Middle School Jr. Beta Club has been very busy this year. The group is under the direction of Marcie Tuggle, Jennifer Ramsdale, and Sara Worrell.
Recently the group served at a National Library Week banquet honoring the elected officials of Simpson County and featuring guest speaker Lynn Fitch, State Treasurer, held at the Mendenhall Civic Center.
The Beta Club (partnering with the Honduras Missions/Medical Team) spearheaded the school wide collection of over 150 pairs of shoes to be donated to the needy of Honduras.
Early Spring the group was able to attend the State Jr. Beta Convention on the Ms Gulf Coast. The group had a great time. While at Convention, Brennon McNair entered his painting in the oil and acrylics division where he placed third.
The students also sold candy bars to raise money to attend convention.
Great job on a year long of activities.
