SAVANNAH, Ga. — Three young baseball players from Magee, Mississippi, are proudly representing Simpson County as they participate in the Savannah Bananas Banana Ball Camp on Monday and Tuesday in Savannah, Georgia.
Wilks Warren, 8, Rhett Garner, 8, and Colt Colson, 7, are enjoying two exciting days of baseball instruction while experiencing the fun, fast-paced style of Banana Ball that has captivated fans across the nation.
During the camp, the boys are taking part in drills, skill development, and interactive activities led by experienced instructors. Beyond learning the fundamentals of the game, the camp encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and, above all, having fun.
For Wilks, Rhett, and Colt, the trip is about more than baseball. It’s an opportunity to make new friends, learn from talented coaches, and experience firsthand the excitement surrounding the Savannah Bananas.
Back home, family, friends, and the Simpson Academy community are proud to see these young athletes representing both their school and the city of Magee. Their enthusiasm for the game and willingness to embrace new opportunities are qualities that will serve them well both on and off the field.
