Robert L. (Bob) Powell

The Powell family would like to extend our love and gratitude to Bob’s Pastor, Joe Hanna, and the Church Family at Bethany
Methodist Church for always being there for him, even after he became disabled and could not attend regular church services. We will always remember the special place you held in his life.

Thanks to Dr. Chip Holbrook and staff at Simpson General Hospital for taking care of Bob, especially this past year!

We want to thank the staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home and Rehab Center for loving Bob, so much so, they affectionately called him Pop.

A tremendous thank you to our friend, Jay Phillips, who was always there for Bob, caring for him with the compassion and devotion of a son. The love you’ve shown him throughout the years means more to us than you will ever know. He loved you like a son and wouldn’t have made it without you!

A very special thank you to our cousin, Mary Alice Knight, for loving and supporting Bob with your devotion and attentive care. Your kindness and willingness to be there to make his days a little easier for him means more than you will ever know. We will forever cherish the beautiful friendship you and Bob shared.

We are so grateful for Amy Ross whose love and support for Jodi is absolutely immeasurable. Your presence and help was truly a Godsend to us and a blessing to our whole family.

We are thankful for his friend and neighbor, Lynn Marie Thompson, who was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially during his surgeries and rehabs, and are so grateful for your kindness shown in helping with other things along the way. We also want to thank you and Brent for the thoughtful gift in Bob’s memory. It touched our hearts more than words can ever express.

We certainly want to thank our long time friend, David Massey, who went above and beyond to help our family!
Your kindness and thoughtfulness means so much to us, and we are truly grateful for your friendship and willingness to help during this difficult time.

All of you please know your love, prayers, and gracious generosity carried us. We will be forever grateful and never forget. We couldn’t have done any of it without you!

A heartfelt thank you to The Church of Mendenhall for extending such a warm welcome to our family for Bob’s funeral service. His heart never left there for it was there he began his walk with The Lord.

Colonial Chapel of Mendenhall was entrusted with Bob’s Funeral Service, and God made possible a service beyond our imagination.

Bob, until we see you in Heaven—“MIGHTY RIGHT”!

The family of Robert L. (Bob) Powell
