Congratulations to the Simpson Academy girls’ track team for clinching the title of MAIS 4A Division 2 South State Champs. This honor is the first time in school history for a girl’s track team to win South State.
The team will advance to the State Championship held at Jackson Academy (Wednesday) and Jackson Prep (Saturday)
Dr. Angel Overstreet is the long-time coach of the cross-country team as well as assisting with track.
Field events and the 3200-meter run are on Wednesday at Jackson Academy. The remaining running events are on Saturday at Jackson Prep.
