The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Proverbs 28:27: “He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.” Solomon in all his wisdom knew the importance of helping the less fortunate, the truly needy, as I love putting it. The circumstances of many leave them with few resources. When we know there’s a particular need, we are admonished to help as much as we feel led. Pray to the Spirit for guidance in such matters. Do not go giving “nilly-willy.” Do research if possible and give with a grateful heart. God will bless it. Amen!
