Flag Day is celebrated annually on June 14th and it is the official start of National Flag Week. This year Flag Week is extra important because we are also celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday. We have an America250 Mississippi event in Ural Everett Park this Saturday, June 13th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. We hope to see you there.
Also, this year during National Flag Week, citizens are encouraged to fly the American flag at their homes and businesses. With America’s 250th almost here, we’re on a mission to see flags flying in every corner of the city. This is also a national movement to see the flags flying around the country.
