Mr. L.H. Brown, 85 of Mendenhall, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, August 2, 1938 in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will at 1:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial will follow in Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Greg Winningham, Bro. Thomas Ray Floyd, and Bro. Trent Sullivan will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Mr. L. H. was fiercely loyal to his family, and he loved his God. He loved to garden and made sure all his family and friends were blessed with what he grew. He was an all-around kind man, and would do anything for anyone. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, brother, and friend. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Brown; mother, Eraco Shows Brown; three sisters, and two brothers; and a great grandchild, Sawyer Brown.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Pauline Kennedy Brown; sons, Mitchell Brown (Shenia) and Randy Brown (Kim); daughters, Geraldine Brown and Joyce Brown Turnage (Wesley); grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown (Shannon), Mark Brown (Chelsey), Courtney Bray (Rob), Destiney Searles (Emmett), John Brown, Zach Brown, Lauren Brown, Mia Turnage and Owen Turnage; nine great grandchildren; and a beloved friend, Judy Lasyone.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Brown, Randy Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Mark Brown, John Brown, and Zach Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Turnage.

Special music will be performed by Marsha Winningham.
