Notice of Garbage Rate Increase.
To ensure the continued reliability of essential sanitation services and to manage rising operational costs, the City of Magee Board of Aldermen, at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 21st, 2026, voted unanimously to increase residential and commercial garbage collection rates, effective June 1st 2026.
The new rate increase is necessary to address increased expenses related to landfill fees, fuel, labor, and the recently purchased new garbage truck. These adjustments allow for the maintenance of high-quality, safe collection services.
The monthly rate for standard service will increase by $3.00.
