Simpson County School District is providing an update regarding the football game between the Magee High School Trojans and the Mendenhall High School Tigers.
The game will take place as planned on Friday, September 4, at Mendenhall High School, with kickoff moved up to 6:00 p.m.
Ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and community members at district events is our top priority. An increased law enforcement presence will be in place throughout the game, including personnel from Homeland Security, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, and other local law enforcement agencies. Additional lighting will also be provided in parking areas.
The SCSD Clear Bag Policy will be strictly enforced, and tailgating will not be permitted on school grounds. Spectators are encouraged to plan accordingly and allow additional time for entry into the stadium.
