The Magee 6U All-Star baseball team has turned an impressive summer into an unforgettable season.
After capturing the District Championship, the young All-Stars battled their way through the state tournament, finishing as the State Runner-Up among 16 teams. Their outstanding performance earned them the opportunity to represent Mississippi in the Dixie Youth Baseball (DYB) World Series, which will be held in Laurel from July 30 through August 2.
Head Coach Hayden Holbrook said the team’s success has been built on hard work, determination, and the way the players have grown together throughout the summer.
“This group has played together all summer long, and it has been exciting to watch them improve every time they take the field,” Holbrook said. “We’re proud of what these boys have accomplished and are honored to represent Magee and the state of Mississippi at the World Series.”
The coaching staff includes Jasper Adcock, Hayden Holbrook, Megan Herrington, and Matt Lee, who have guided the team throughout its successful season.
Team members are Salomon Adcock, Grayson Womack, Lukas Martin, Brinson Graves, Kason Norwood, Wright Yelverton, Carter Lee, Sawyer Lee, Daxton Holbrook, Haiden Sims, Jon Connor Herrington, and Wyatt Kennedy.
The Magee community will be cheering on these young athletes as they compete against some of the best 6U teams in the country. Congratulations to the Magee 6U All-Stars on an outstanding season, and best of luck as they take the field in Laurel representing Mississippi on the World Series stage!
