Homecoming night at Trojan Field turned out to be a special one for Magee High School as Kaylee Brown was crowned the 2026 Homecoming Queen, followed by an exciting overtime victory for the Magee Trojans.

Rain moved through Magee late in the afternoon, leaving many people watching the skies and wondering if the weather would interfere with the evening’s activities. Fortunately, the rain moved out just in time, and the Homecoming ceremony and football game were held without rain.

Prior to kickoff, members of the 2026 Magee High School Homecoming Court were presented on Trojan Field.

Members of the court were Layken Barnes, Braiya Rosse, Kamryn Draughn, Audrey Thompson, Anaya Jones, Kaylee Brown, Anah Webber, Kaylyn Durr, Journeigh Berry and Skylar Barnes.

The highlight of the ceremony came with the announcement of Kaylee Brown as Magee High School’s 2026 Homecoming Queen.

With the Homecoming crown presented and the ceremony complete, attention turned to football—and Trojan fans were in for quite a night.

The Magee Trojans and Mize Bulldogs battled in a close Simpson County matchup that could not be decided in regulation. The game went into overtime, where Magee pulled out a thrilling 21-20 victory over Mize.

A one-point overtime win at Trojan Field was quite a way to finish Homecoming night!

What began with concerns about the weather ended with clear skies for the festivities, the crowning of a new Queen and a Trojan victory.

Congratulations to Kaylee Brown, the entire 2026 Homecoming Court and the Magee Trojans on a memorable Homecoming night at Trojan Field.
