James ‘Pete’ Crain of Puckett, Mississippi

James ‘Pete’ Crain, 90, of Puckett, Mississippi, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Covington County Hospital in Collins, MS. He was born Thursday, June 27, 1929.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Puckett Baptist Church in Puckett, MS.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Puckett Baptist Church in Puckett, MS. The Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery. Bro. Grant McElveen and Bro. Alvin Doyle will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Pete was a member of Puckett Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Plummer and Mittie Crain, sisters; Odelle, Corene, Dorothy, Louie, brothers; Larue, Lamar, son-in-law, Bo Morgan.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Beulah Crain, sons, James Crain (Kathy), Robert Crain, Donny Crain, daughters, Charlotte Morgan, Mittie Ratcliff (James), 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Crain, Bennett Crain, Curt Crain, Carey Crain, James Ratcliff, and Joal Rankin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nic Crain, Casen Crain, Stone Crain, and Richie Ellzy.
