Hazel Purser, 85 of Mount Olive, Mississippi passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her residence in Mount Olive, Mississippi. She was born Friday, January 21, 1938.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Andy Gipson, Bro. Jason Westmoreland, and Bro. Michael Thornhill will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Hazel was loved by many. She married the love of her life of 70 years on May the 24, 1953. She enjoyed cooking and baking but especially loved going out to eat. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and Corinth Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Purser; father, Ollie Robinson; mother, Bernice Ware Robinson; brothers, Carston Robinson, Harold Robinson, Lloyd Robinson, Junior Robinson, OB Robinson and Dub Robinson; and great grandchildren, Owen Parker Brinson and Megan Beaube.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Purser; sons, Charlie Wayne Purser (Judie) and Tommy Ray Purser (Kim); daughter, Annie Elizabeth Purser Brinson (Charles); grandchildren, Debra Purser, Shania Purser, Jason Brinson (Amy), Isaac Purser (Sara), Jessica Brinson, Andy Brinson (Kaitlyn) and Jeremy Brinson (Shay); and great grandchildren, Kris Hayes, Katilyn Hayes, Matthew Beaube, Jakai Brinson, and Austin Paxton.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Purser, Jason Brinson, Andy Brinson, Wayne Purser, Ray Purser, and Billy Blair.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Brinson, Kris Hayes, and Austin Paxton.

Special music will be performed by Shania Purser, Clark Walker and Ivan Colson.
