Gloria Dossett Westmoreland gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, June 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born on November 19, 1952, to Robert Dossett and Johnnie Mae Andrews Dossett in New Orleans, LA.
Gloria had retired from the Simpson County Board of Supervisors. She loved living in the country and all that it entailed. She enjoyed mowing the grass, picking vegetables, gardening, cooking, and cleaning, as well as antique shopping and drinking Coca-Cola. She thoroughly enjoyed her family and playing with her grandchildren.
Gloria was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a strong, unbreakable faith, which was evident in her everyday life. If you were her friend, you were blessed. Her family and friends will deeply miss her.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Wade Westmoreland; parents, Robert Dossett and Johnnie Mae Andrews Dossett Bolen; one grandchild, Cruz Lewis; brother, Dale Dossett; and sisters, Joyce Ginter and Beckey West.
She is survived by her children, Kirk Lewis (Callie), Olivia Cole (Elliott), Justin Westmoreland (Renee), Jana McGough (Tommy), Jordan Westmoreland (Kevin); brothers, John Stanley (Heather)  and Joe Stanley (Linda); sister, Linda Sexton (Gary); grandchildren, Ashlyn Cole (JP), Mercer Lewis, Arik Westmoreland, Gavin Westmoreland, Cael Westmoreland, Jalen Sandifer, Jackson Sandifer, Judson Sandifer, and great-grandchild, Rayelyn Cole.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The service will be at 11:00 am in the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Stanley and Elton Berry officiating. Interment will follow in New Hebron Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
