There’s a new young ambassador representing the heart and spirit of Magee, and her name is Emelia Maddox!

Emelia has been selected as Magee’s 2026 Little Miss Hospitality, an honor that celebrates young girls who truly shine through their kindness, character, and love for their community. And if you know Emelia, you know she fits that description perfectly.

The daughter of Lee and Kim Maddox, Emelia is a bright and energetic second-grade student at Simpson Academy. She stays busy doing all the things she loves—whether it’s dancing, playing the piano, hitting the tennis court, baking sweet treats, or lifting her voice in song. One of the most special parts of her week is singing in the adult choir at Goodwater Baptist Church each Sunday morning—something that speaks volumes about her confidence and sweet spirit.

In a touching moment, Emelia was crowned by the reigning Miss Hospitality, Avery Vanderford, marking the beginning of her journey in this special role.

As Little Miss Hospitality, Emelia will serve as a young representative of Magee, sharing the warmth and friendliness our town is known for. She will take that same sweet spirit to the state level as she represents Magee at the Little Miss Hospitality competition July 17–18 at the historic Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.

Magee has a long tradition of hospitality—and with Emelia Maddox carrying that title, the future is looking bright (and absolutely adorable)!

Congratulations, Emelia! 💖
