Doris Harvey Williams, 86, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, November 29, 1933, in Simpson County.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

A visitation will also be on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Mendenhall, Mississippi. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery. Bro. David Jager will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mrs. Williams was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and granny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. Williams; parents, Forest and Vermell Harvey; one brother, James Earl Harvey; three sisters, Frances Shows, Betty Barr, and Geraldine Lyons.

Survivors include her one loving daughter, Diane Hamilton (Robert Earl) of Spring, Texas; three grandchildren, Keyla Hamilton Tate (Dwayne) of Mendenhall, Lori Hamilton Lowery (Tommy) of Brandon, and Robbie Hamilton (Terrie) of Georgetown, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Ben Berry of Brandon, Allison Nicole Brown (Dereck) of Mendenhall, Anna L. Tate of Mendenhall, Gabriella G. Hamilton of Georgetown, Texas, Izabella M. Hamilton of Georgetown, Texas, Alexa C. Tate of Mendenhall, Sadie Lee Hamilton of Georgetown, Texas; one great-great-grandchild, Annabelle Brown of Mendenhall; one brother, Tommy Joe Harvey (Ann) of Mendenhall; and a host of other family members.

Pallbearers will be Ben Berry, Robbie Hamilton, Douglas Vanderford, Dereck Brown, Wayne Shows, and Jimmy Shows. Honorary pallbearer will be Brent Shows.
