Donald W. Lofton

( November 15, 1947 – September 27, 2020 )

Donald W. Lofton, 72, of Florence, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at his home in Florence, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, November 15, 1947.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. The Burial will follow in Waco Fairmont Cemetery. Bro. David Allen will officiate.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Lofton was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the US Air Force. He also retired from L3 communications in Madison, Mississippi. Donald Lofton loved his family with all his heart along with his three dogs Gabby, Zoe, and Libby. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and in later years enjoyed watching his deer. Mr. Lofton also loved to travel and visit his family in England.

He was preceded in death by his father, Morgan Lofton; maternal grandparents; four uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Lofton; son, Chris Lofton; mother, Rose Lofton; brother, Morgan John Lofton (Doris); sisters, Ellen Tanner (Jimmy), Roberta Sullivan (Charles), and Dawn Martin (Gerald); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; uncle, Eric Reeve; aunts, Siby Meadows, Gracie Woods and Verna Mae Lofton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
