David Lewis Thompson, Jr., 61 of D Lo, MS went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born Wednesday, February 19, 1964 in Magee, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in D` Lo Cemetery in D`Lo, MS. Bro. Joe Hanna will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

David became a Master Mason and was an active member of the D’Lo Masonic Lodge. David started riding motorcycles at a young age and his love for riding grew over the years. He was a proud founding member of the Widow’s Sons Southern Knights Templar Chapter where he held the position of Sergeant of Arms and went by the road name of “Ghost”.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, JB Moak; grandfathers, Eugene Thompson and Marvin May; grandmothers, Elzine Thompson and Carrie May.

He is survived by his father, David Lewis Thompson, Sr. of D Lo, MS; mother, Nan May Moak of Pinola, MS; cousins who were like brothers and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Willie Jones, Jeff Winstead, Steve Prestwood, Gene Floyd, Stephen Berry, and Doug Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Southern Knights Templar.
