David Michael Hankins, Magee, MS 

David Hankins, 72, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2020. He was born on September 14, 1948, to his parents, Willard Hankins and Lyda Kate (Jones) Hankins.

David was a longtime resident of Simpson County and served in the National Guard. He retired after many years in the construction industry. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Sonja Hankins McDaniel and former wife, Jocelyn Moore; one brother, John Hankins (Camille).

David is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Hankins and Lyda Kate Hankins.

The family will hold a graveside memorial service at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be made in his memory to the Diabetes Foundation or any charity of your choice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home.
