On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, several City of Magee and Mendenhall personnel participated in an emergency management training session conducted by instructors from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in Jackson.

The three-hour course provided essential information on procedures, responsibilities, and best practices for handling city emergencies. Participants received detailed guidance on how to prepare for and respond to various emergency situations to help ensure community safety and coordination.

The session was led by Mike Siler, Director of Public Assistance, and Susan Hardy, both from the Jackson MEMA office.
