The City of Magee Christmas tree is up and awaiting decorations!  City workers completed the building of the tree Monday.  There has been much talk about our Christmas tree and decorations.  The Board was interested in stringing lights across Main Street, but due to the height of the Main Street light poles that cannot be done.  Plans are to put lights across/inside the Ural Everett Park and  of course have a tree.

Always feel free to post suggestions on MageeNews.com or MageeNews.com Facebook page.  Magee’s Christmas parade is Thursday, December 5th.  Mendenhall’s parade is Tuesday, December 3rd.  Applications to participate in the Magee parade are available at the Chamber Office (next to Civic Center).

(Sue note:  I learned the most interesting information today from Linda Pruitt at Hand’s Nursery.  Put hot water in the container for your Christmas tree!  How interesting is that.  Linda says that will break down the sap that is around the bottom of the tree allowing the tree to receive water!  Linda has beautiful trees this year!
