Cold weather couldn’t stop the fun Monday night as folks lined Main Street for the City of Magee Christmas Parade! Bundled-up little ones, proud parents, and grandparents with their chairs and blankets filled the sidewalks—because in Magee, a little chill never keeps us from a good parade.

And what a parade it was!

Boswell Regional Center rolled away with First Place, and let me tell you—they earned it!

A Message from Constable Evan Sellers Simpson County, Mississippi

The Rock Church from Taylorsville claimed Second Place, and
McAlister’s Deli took home Third Place with a cheerful Christmas entry.

The Co-Lin Band and Colettes were fabulous—as always! We only get them every other year, and this was Magee’s lucky year. Their energy lit up the street as much as the Christmas lights.

Speaking of lights…the night parade was simply beautiful. Floats, vehicles, carts—everything was wrapped, draped, or covered in twinkling strands. Music filled the air from every direction.

Mayor Mark Grubbs and Alderman Lawana Thompson even made a stop by Sassy Glass for free hot chocolate—now that’s the Christmas spirit!

Simpson County was well represented with both Magee and Mendenhall bands performing, adding even more excitement to the night.

The Magee Fire Department led the parade with their gleaming trucks, and the Magee Police Department closed things out, lights flashing proudly.

And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any more magical…
Santa and Mrs. Claus “flew” in on their sleigh, waving to the children—and the grown-ups who were just as delighted!

Another wonderful Christmas parade in the books for our sweet town
