Bobby Legrand Driskill, 82 of Polkville passed away on July 4, 2026, at UMC Hospital. He was born on June 9, 1944.
He served his country in the military. Bobby was a hard-working man who took pride in his work; he was a devoted Christian and told the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not. He led by example as a Christian should. Bobby liked to laugh and carry on, but when it came time for discipline, he didn’t spare the rod. We have always thought he set a great example for all to follow. He liked hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved being around his family and friends, playing the guitar, and having discussions about the Bible.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 5:00 until at Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville, MS. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Church God Cemetery. Bro. Robert Gatewood and Bro. Randy Ivy will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
He was preceded in death by his wife (Doc) Carolyn Driskill, his father Legran Driskill, his mother Mildred Driskill, his sisters Linda Craft (Robert) and Vida Whitehead (Charlie), and his brothers-in-laws Charlie Whitehead, Bradford Wallace, and Robert Craft.
Survivors include sons, Brain Driskill and Mark Driskill (Melissa); grandchildren, Matthew and Cody Driskill; brother, Gerald Driskill (Kay); sister, Laverne Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Brian Driskill, Mark Driskill, Matthew Driskill, Cody Driskill, BJ Wallace, Alex Whitehead, and Frank Craft.
